Belarus, China to set up center to develop innovative technologies

Belarus and China intend to set up a center to develop innovative technologies in the area of industrialization of scientific and technical achievements. The sides intend to sign an agreement on establishing a Belarusian-Chinese center meant to develop innovative technologies for industrializing scientific and technical achievements in Minsk on 4-5 August as part of the Belarusian-Chinese forum on commercializing R&D results.

During the forum a number of agreements will be signed on Belarus-China cooperation in industrial interaction, financial and research interaction as well as an agreement on cooperation between the Belarusian Innovative Foundation and Chinese venture companies on developing the market of direct and venture investments. As part of the forum a presentation of Belarus' innovative, scientific and technical potential will be arranged, including promising projects that can be implemented together.

About 20 companies from China, including 12 venture capital management companies, are expected to take part in the forum. The forum will take place with organizational assistance of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus, SZAO Industrial Park Development Company, and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
