The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in collaboration with the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research in order to attract the talented youth have announced a call for proposals for joint basic research projects.

Scientific areas of the call:

• Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics;
• Physics and Astronomy;
• Chemistry and materials science;
• Biology and Medical Science;
• Earth science;
• Natural scientific research methods in the humanities;
• Information technologies and computer systems;
• Fundamentals of engineering sciences.

Applications have to be submitted simultaneously using agreed application forms to both organisations: Belarusian researchers apply to the BRFFR, Russian ones – to RFBR.

Duration of the projects is up to 2 years.

Deadline for applications: 30 September 2016.
